This website will offer you understanding in the Common Nautical Management (CNM) of the River Scheldt Region and is a mutual initiative of the Flemish and Dutch authorities:

 

The Agency for Maritime Services and Coastal Affairs of the Flemish Government and the Ministry of Infrastructure en Environment, Department of Public Works Sea and Delta of the Dutch Government

 

Here you will find information about the policies and organisation of a safe and smooth shipping traffic, as well as nautical, technical and legal aspects. The flash animation shows how the admission policy for deep-draught vessels works. Within presentations and publications you will find power points of consultancy moments as well as magazines.

The Permanent Committee recently approved two applications for trials with inland waterway ships that are (partially) self-driven: the Zonga and Factofour. It is the first time that trials with autonomous vessels have been carried on the Westerschelde.
