In the River Scheldt Region, Flanders and the Netherlands co-operate successfully in the Nautical Field. This co-operation has a long history. Since the Separation Treaty of 1839, many more Treaties followed, rendering a legal basis to the co-operation and leading to tangible results. The bilateral River Scheldt radar is a concrete example of Flemish-Dutch co-operation.
On the organisation pages you will find more information about policy structures in the River Scheldt area.
